1st Class -A Verbs Simple Present Tense

We know that to find out who is causing something to happen we can look at the ending of a verb because the subject is always built into the verb form in the ending. Remember the s/he, it form?
Remember how we changed the meaning of the verb to they by just adding –n ?

What if you want to do something or we or yáll or I want to do something? Change the ending .

To make a verb say "you" are doing something just add -s to the s/he form; -s means "tú."

Nosotros y Vosotros

To make a verb say "we" are doing something use -mos ; -mos means "we ."

To say "y'all" are doing something put an accent mark (´) on the vowel -a and add -´is ; -is means "y'all ."

Since the subject is always built in to the end of the verb, it is sometimes not stated. Use of pronouns to state the subject occurs mainly for clarification, emphasis and variety. However, when pronouns are used, they must match the verb ending to make sense. It would be confusing to say, yo hablan because "yo" means “I” and –n means “they.” We would not know "who" is the speaker. Oh, how do you say "yo?" Change the ending to -o ; -o means "yo ."
