[em]THE PAST CONTINUOUS[/em] As the definition of the "Continuous" says: An action that's in progress at a particular point in time. So we need: The Action The particular point in time. Of course both the action and the point in time have to be in the past. [b][i]Example[/b][/i] [i]Action[/i]: working for a big Company [i]Point[/i] : 2002 I was working for a big company in 2002 I was sleeping when she got home in this last example the [i]action[/i] is "was working for a big company" and the [i]point[/i] is "when she got home"
