Perfect Tenses
Perfect Tenses usually speak about an event or situation that happened before a certain time or event. We usually don't know exactly when. We just know it was before a certain point or event in time.
Present Perfect: the event happened before the present time ( now )
Past Perfect: the event happened before a certain date or event in the past
Future Perfect: the event happens before a certain date in the future.
When we add "continuous" we have to redefine a bit:
Perfect Continuous will be anything that happens before a certain time and has not yet finished at that particular moment.
