About Our Presentations...

Both reading classes were split into two teams. One team was to be responsible for presenting the story "Wilma Unlimited" while the other would present "The Wright Brothers: A Flying Start." A number of components were to be included in the presentation. Among these were: a summary of the story, the vocabulary in the story, a timeline, a supporting visual, and discussion questions. They students were to decide how they wanted to creatively showcase these items to their fellow classmates.

The students chose their jobs together. One student from each group was elected the project manager, who kept the groups running smoothly and cooperatively while making executive decisions about and deadlines for the project.

The students worked together for approximately two weeks two complete and present their efforts. Following the presentations, the students were given evaluation sheets for their group and will complete and individual essay comparing and contrasting the stories.
