Messages

Engrade's messaging feature works like an internal email system to send private messages between approved users. The following types of users can message each other:
- Administrators can message any account linked to the school
- Teachers can message any account linked to their classes
- Students can message their teachers if allowed in the class settings
- Students can message other students in a class if allowed in the class settings
- Parents can message teachers if allowed in the class settings

Sending a Message

1. Click Send in your messaging section.

2. In the To field, start typing the name of the person(s) to which you wish to send the message. Engrade will autocomplete their names for you.

3. Enter a Subject for the message.

4. Use the Attach field to attach a file, wiki, or flashcards to your message.

5. Enter your message.

6. Click Send Message.

7. The message will now appear in your Sent tab.

Contacts

Your possible contacts are listed on the Contacts screen. The names are broken down into Staff and Students. Parents are listed under students with a [P] after their child’s name. You can also send a message directly from this screen by clicking on a recipient. A check mark will appear next to the recipient’s name. You may click multiple recipients.
