How to Put Links in Google Documents

Step 1

Open your document (My example is the Group Summary Project). Find where you want to insert your link to your article or item.

Step 2: Highlight the Name of the Item that you want to link. In this case, it is the article that I located. Notice how I put the article name in quotations

Step 3: Click the “link” icon. It looks like a chain.

Step 4: Paste in the internet address. Click “Ok” and you have now successfully added the link to the item.

Click on the link and choose "Change" to change the name of the link.

Rename the link
