English Conversation 2 at Mokwon University will be a good first step for you to practice speaking English. Everyone will have a chance to speak but more importantly this page will help you understand what we are doing in class and online. Quizzes
Quizzes will be given during class and or online. The quiz material will cover material from previous chapters in the text book. Some quizzes will be given without advanced notice, " Pop Quiz." Most of the quizzes will consist of 5-10 multiple choice questions. An example quiz may look like the following:Please complete this sentence; "I usually wake up...."
a. in the morning.
b. on the morning.
c. over the morning.
d. under the morning.
Speaking Test
Speaking tests will be held before or after the mid-term exams. Students will have an interview with the teacher by appointment. Marks will be given to students based on pronunciation, fluency, vocabulary and creativity. During the speaking test all students will remain in the classroom to complete a quiz or do an activity.Final Exam
The final exam will cover the last 5 units of the Text book. The exam format will be online and students will have to arrive on time to take the exam in a computer lab.Class Rules
Please come to class on time! (제시간에 수업에 오십시오)You must bring books, notebooks, and writing utensil to every class. If you do not have a book and /or writing utensil, you will be marked absent.

About Class
You will speak in English every class. We will spend most of class doing pair work, group work, and role-plays. Don’t be shy! Your grades will come from participation and speaking activities. If you try, you will pass this class very easily. If you don’t try, you will fail very easily!
(이수업은 회화수업이므로 학생들 모두 수업시간에 말해야만 합니다. 우리는 파트너 또는 단체속에서의 활동과 역활극을 하면서 수업시간을 보내게 될것입니다. 부끄러워하지마십시오! 여러분들의 성적은 참가도와 말하기 활동들로 채점될 것입니다. 여러분들이 노력한다면 이 수업을 매우 쉽게 통과할 것이고, 노력하지 않는다면 너무나도 쉽게 낙제할 것입니다. )

Always try English first! (항상 영어를 먼저 사용하도록 노력하십시오)
Try using English with a few Korean words. (약간의 한국어 단어들을 이용하면서 영어를 사용하도록 노력하십시오)
Try using a mixture of English and Korean (영어와 한국어를 혼합하여 사용하도록 노력하십시오)
Your Responsibility
It is your responsibility to understand our class. If you do not understand you must ask questions. If you do not understand what you have to do ask a friend, ask classmates, ask me or send me an e-mail.
Also if you miss class, you must find out what work you missed. Do not come to class without your homework. (수업을 이해하는것은 여러분들의 책임입니다. 만약 이해를 못한다면 질문을 해야합니다. 무엇을해야할지 이해하지 못했다면 친구나 동기들, 나에게 질문할수도 있습니다. 아니면 나에게 이메일을 보낼수도 있습니다. 만약 수업을 빠졌다면 여러분이 놓친 과제가 무엇인지 알아야합니다. 과제를 못한상태로 수업에 참여하지 마시길 바랍니다.)
