Anonymity
What is it?
Anonymity is when no one knows who you are.
Why do people think they are anonymous on the internet?
On the internet, many people think that they cannot be identified and think it is safe to do things they wouldn’t do face to face. This is because no one else is around when they are online.
What things may people do online when they think they won't get caught?
Cyberbullying- mean emails, mean comments on a person’s Facebook or MySpace wall, etc.
Looking at pornographic sites.
However, you are not anonymous on the internet. You can be tracked down. Do not do anything online you wouldn’t feel comfortable doing in front of your parents.
