Study Reading Project
General Instructions
ISR 100Study Reading Project
Purpose: The purpose of this project is to give you the opportunity to demonstrate and apply your knowledge of the reading process and organizational strategies for previewing, integrating, and recalling information from a college textbook.
1. Preview the textbook chapter entitled, "Memory" at the end of the book (p.440).
2. Create a google document and title it "StudyReadingProject.Name.Sec#". Share this document with me: anita122478@gmail.com.
3. Write five questions based on your preview of the chapter that will guide your reading.
4. Read the chapter and answer the five questions that you wrote.
5. Using your preferred method of notetaking or outlining, create a set of study notes on the chapter.
6. Create a visual representation of the information of ONE section by creating an idea or concept map.
7. Define the vocabulary terms in BOLD print throughout the chapter.
8. Study Reading Test (open notes). You will take the test the day the project is due.
Project Deadlines
You will take the College Text Reading test on Friday, November 12th.The Study Reading Project is due at the end of the test. You will complete steps 3, 4, 5, 6, and 7 and turn everything in in paper form on Friday, November 12th.
Please make sure that everything is labeled so that it is clear what step in the project it is and make sure that your name is on everything.
