Dear Parent/s;My name is Robert Assibey, and I am your child’s Earth Science teacher for the 2011-2012 school year and I am excited to have your child in my class this academic year. I am looking forward to a very yea and I hope you are too. Your child is expected to pass this course with a grade of C or higher.
As this will be a very rigorous course, with your help these expectations should be met. Your child is expected to complete all work assigned in class and all homework. If your child does not complete an assignment in class, he or she will be required to complete it at home.
In addition, I will be assigning projects in various topics throughout the year. Projects are to be completed in school and/or at home. Your help and support will greatly contribute to the success of your child in this course.
I do hope to keep all lines of communication open with you, as parent/guardian. I will be available as much as I can to assist you and your child. Please make an appointment before coming.
