Dividing Integers

How to Divide Integers

Rule # 1: Same Signs
When dividing integers with same signs, the quotient is always POSITIVE
Example
10 / 10 = 1
-16 / (-4) = 4

Rule # 2: Different Signs
When dividing integers with different signs, the quotient is always NEGATIVE
Example
50 / -10 = -5
64 / (-4) = -16

NOTE: you may notice the rules for multiplying and dividing are practically the same. :)
